Jesus quoted from the Psalms, and some of the scriptures Jesus fulfilled when he walked here, are in the Psalms. Therefore it is reasonable to believe all that has been written in the Psalms is right for living, and more so in how we should live.
“Lo, sons are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.” (Psalm 127-3)
If the Bible says the fruit of the womb is a reward, and I understand fruit of the womb refers to and defines the unborn within the womb, then why do we as a society strive to murder and extinguish the lives of this reward, and worse, call the premeditated and systemic killing of our unborn heritage a basic right to enshrine, and worse, label it a right thing to permit and do?
Do we not understand that the falling birthrate that some of our political leaders now bemoan is because we are too preoccupied with killing-off those who would come into the world and end the nation's falling birthrate?
Are we insane?
To paraphrase what Paul has diagnosed and warns us about, (read Romans 1:25 to 31) we have turned away from God, and we do not see fit to acknowledge God, therefore God has given us over to base mindedness and improper conduct. Base mindedness is another way of saying madness or insanity, and from which our improper conduct flows.
We have become haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil. Our killing of the unborn is born of all these traits of insanity we’ve blindly taken to heart and have become. We invented the evil of killing our heritage and our reward, and then like arrogant fools we praise ourselves for the evil we are doing and how well we do it.
“By this it may be seen who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not do right is not of God, nor he who does not love his brother.” (1 John 3:10)
No middle ground or wiggle-room here in John’s words.
Curious, I asked Google
Why is Canada’s birth rate at a record low?
AI Overview
Canada's birth rate is at a record low, hitting 1.25 children per woman in 2024, marking "ultra-low fertility" alongside nations like Japan and Italy, driven by financial pressures, cost of living, lifestyle shifts, and delayed parenthood, with the average mother's age rising, causing concerns for population stability despite immigration.
Again I asked Google
What is the #1 leading cause of death in Canada?
AI Overview
In Canada, cancer (malignant neoplasms) and heart disease are consistently the top two leading causes of death, together responsible for over 40% of fatalities, followed by accidents (unintentional injuries) and cerebrovascular diseases (stroke) as of recent data (2023) from Statistics Canada. While these chronic conditions dominate overall, causes like accidents and suicide are leading causes for younger age groups.
Top Leading Causes (2023 Data)
1. Cancer (Malignant Neoplasms): 84,629 deaths.
2. Diseases of Heart: 57,890 deaths.
3. Accidents (Unintentional Injuries): 20,597 deaths.
4. Cerebrovascular Diseases (Stroke): 13,833 deaths.
So once More I asked Google
How many abortions are performed in Canada?
AI Overview
In 2023, there were over 101,500 reported abortions in Canada, the highest in a decade, though this number is incomplete as not all procedures (especially medical ones in primary care) are reported, with most (around 79%) occurring in clinics, not hospitals, and a significant portion happening to women over 18. These numbers suggest an overall decline in the rate from peak levels, but recent increases show a plateau in that decline, with one in three Canadian women estimated to have an abortion in their lifetime.
These three AI answers from Google were cut and pasted in here as is, and they have not been altered in any way.
Is it possible that, "Canada's birth rate is at a record low... marking "ultra-low fertility" might be a fudging of semantics to account for the fewer births due to abortions?
What puzzles me is why abortion is not shown as the leading cause of death In Canada, whereas "In 2023, there were over 101,500 reported abortions in Canada." 101,500 abortions is clearly a greater number of deaths than the 84,629 deaths attributed to cancer as the leading cause.
What am I failing to see here??
